Here are a few of the titles that have been interesting &/or helpful to me:
· Daigh, Ralph. Maybe You Should Write a Book. 181 pages. Daigh gives examples from the lives and works of a variety of authors. I found it encouraging.
· King, Stephen. On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. 297 pages. A autobiographical account of King’s life as a writer.
· Lamott, Anne. bird by bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life. 237 pages. A bit of raw language, but really good.
· Reeves, Judy. A Writer’s Book of Days: a Spirited Companion & Lively Muse for the Writing life. 210 pages. Lots of variety & practical stuff. A great gift for a writer.
· See, Carolyn. Making a Literary Life: Advice for Writers and Other Dreamers. 255 pages. Helpful in many ways.
· Zinsser, William. Writing about Your Life: a Journey Into the Past. 228 pages. I like the way he weaves sample writings into his lessons. Looks like it might become a favorite.
Okay; there's my list. Anybody else want to post a list of your own - or at least add a favorite title or two?
